We are pleased to announce that Artist Co-op 7 has decided to bring their art program courses to the Center.  Long a supporter of the center with their always-superb exhibits over the past 2 years, the Co-op is expanding their offerings for the current winter session via "Painting and Drawing - 10 weeks with Adria Becker", '"Right Brain Figure Drawing - 9 weeks with Jeanne Hahn" and "Watercolor Painting - 9 Weeks with Dafna Gilboa & Susan Gesundheit." These courses are  serious, yet fun learning experiences and are set up to teach beginning to advanced students.  Please contact Jeanne Hahn at jeannehahn@aol.com if you have questions regarding  these courses.

"Color Me Bold" open through March 11, 2017

In celebration of International Women's Day (March 8th), the SFVACC is sponsoring an art exhibit from February 21 until March 11, 2017.  The juror is Donna Geist Buch and she has selected 80 works of art. Daggi Wallace has won Best of Show with her "Allowing", a stunning piece in soft pastels.  Along with this art exhibit, we have live musical and theatrical performances, An Evening with Emeralde (Margie Russomanno, Mark Gasbarro & Band) and "In the Shadow of None", a live theatrical performance with 16 actors.  Click on the information at the right for more details.  You may purchase tickets through our website.

Fantastic Frames"...A Whimsical Workshop with Richard Freund

Create a fantastic art frame with every-day bits 'n bobs, found objects and artist materials under the guidance of artist, Richard H. Freund on Saturday, March 25th.  We have some samples of his work on display in our gift shop. Recently, he won Best of Show at the Westlake Village Art Guild Members' Show. Explore your own fantasy world in this fun-filled workshop.  For more information, go to www.faffo.net.

2017 Exhibit Schedule is Almost Filled

The SFVACC's 2017 Exhibit Schedule is entirely filled for the first 7 months.  Only a few slots are still available for the latter part of the year.  If your arts organization has not signed up yet, it would be a good time to do it soon.  The word is getting out to new organizations far and wide who are reaching out to the SFVACC for exhibit space.  These are both arts-related and non-profit organizations who will be bringing their own art exhibits to our space.

Calling All Volunteers!

2017 will bring about a new concept in sitting at the Center.  We will be putting together a team of professional docents to watch over the Center during our exhibits.  These docents will be trained in everything they should know about running the Center and being a welcoming representative behind the reception desk. Organizations can also have their members keep our professional docents company, if they so wish.  We will need to fill thirty 3-hour shifts during each of our exhibits.  So think about joining our team and immerse yourself in all that creative energy at the Center!

It's almost 2017. Time to renew your membership!

We are accepting applications for new memberships to the SFVACC. We are also getting the word out to current members that it's time to renew your membership.  Senior memberships cost $30 a year, individual memberships cost $45 a year and corporate memberships costs $60 a year.  We now offer a membership card with discounts for purchases made at our gift shop and tickets for live performances, etc.  For more information, go to our MEMBERSHIP & DONATIONS page.  Thanks for your support.
